Crime Stoppers of Monterey County has a very busy spring and summer schedule upcoming. There is a need for volunteers who have about four working hours a week available. It is expected that after a period of training and experience there may be Board of Directors or Advisory Board positions available. Residents of Monterey County are invited to apply.
The volunteer activities include promoting and representing the program to the over 360,000 residents of our county, raising funds to support the program, obtaining actors and props for the “Crime of the Week”, fingerprinting children at various community functions and developing public awareness campaigns.
Retired persons or members of civic, business, service clubs or youth groups are encouraged to apply, as are military (active or retired), and retired law enforcement personnel. Student volunteers may receive community service credits through their schools. Applicants will be trained.
Bilingual applicants with accurate translation skills are especially needed.
